Gymnastics Recital

Kali had her Gymnastics recital tonight!! She did a dance routine, the balance beam and the bars. She has been selected to be on the Gymnastics Competitive Team next year, but she hasn't decided if she is going to do it or not. She did a GREAT job tonght and made her mama VERY proud!! Above is a video clip of her routine!! TOO CUTE!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

For me, today is not just about me as a Mother, but a day for me to cherish my children and to "Thank God" for blessing me with two beautiful little angels!!

Ladybugs, Ladybugs, Ladybugs

We are now doing a study about Ladybugs!! We have researched everything about them. Their life cycle is a lot like a butterfly. My little "scientists" set out determined to find ladybugs. They not only found ladybugs, they found ladybug eggs!!! We took a picture of the eggs(A) a few days ago. When we went back to check on them, a larva was hatching(B).

We put the larva (C,E) in a jar so we could watch it. During the larva stage, they molt or shed their exoskeleton 3-7 times, because their skin doesn't stretch as their bodies grow. We have watched this one molt twice already(D,F).

Kali is very fascinated with them and has gone out every day to find Aphids to feed it so that we can keep watching it!! Hopefully we will get to watch it change into a pupa and then into a beautiful ladybug.

Bike Rider

Kali told her daddy she was ready to learn how to ride her bike, so he took the training wheels off and...

demonstrated how to ride.... saved her from many crashes...

then she took off...... and now has a few battle scars :)

Addition Lapbook

We just finished addition. We did a Lapbook to keep handy to review the addition facts.

News Channel 6 Tour

We got to tour News Channel 6 and see a LIVE tping of the weather when we actully had pretty bad storms coming into Tulsa. It was really neat to see what goes on behind the scenes!!

Franklin the Turtle

This is our new little friend Franklin that we found living in our flower bed. Kali painted on its shell so that we will know that it is our turtle.

Wagon Fishin'

Braden was sitting in his wagon (ice cream all over his face) with his fishing pole in the front yard "fishing." When he was done "fishing" he hooked his "boat" up to daddy's truck....LOL. He is definitely a mini Brad!!
