Easter Tree

Candy, bunnies and colored eggs are not the BEST thing about Easter!! We learned the "True" meaning of Easter and what the "Traditions" of Easter are.

Happy Easter!!

Kali Marie

We celebrated Easter this year in Lone Wolf with our families. The kids had a blast coloring eggs at Mammy & Pappy's, hunting eggs, eating way too much candy, and going to church with Grampy!!

Giant Panda's

For our first mammal, Kali wanted to study giant panda's. The most interesting fact we learned is that they spend an average of 16 hours a day eating and they eat 40-80 pounds of bamboo EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!

My Book of Mammal's

As a rookie homeschool mom I am learning that there are SOOOO many choices in homeschool curriculum. It is easy to get very overwhelmed when trying to decide what methods to use. One method we chose, to incorporate Science, Geography and History, is unit studies. We chose this method because we love 'hands-on' learning. Unit Studies approach a theme topic from several angles, encouraging activity and love of learning as well as discipline and responsibility. The Unit Study we are currently doing is 'Mammals.' First we choose a mammal we would like to learn more about. Then we spend two weeks, reading books from the library, watching videos, and searching websites.
